What does Disaster Recovery include?
Disaster Recovery is a fully managed DRaaS product. It runs block-level atomic snapshots on dedicated backup nodes, isolated from production, with 24 hourly and 7 daily recovery points. Restores are managed for you and include file-level recovery, so you can recover quickly from ransomware, corruption, or accidental changes.
What are RPO and RTO?
RPO (Recovery Point Objective) is the maximum acceptable data loss window, or how far back you can restore from if something goes wrong. RTO (Recovery Time Objective) is the maximum acceptable time to restore service. Define both before a production incident, not during one.
How does DNS failover relate to DR planning?
DNS failover reroutes traffic during outages, while DR planning ensures systems and data can be restored with defined targets.
