From Configure to Running
Three flows from the dashboard: pick CPU, RAM, and NVMe; attach a block volume; move that volume to a different VPS without copying data.
Configure the VPS you want, then send the same spec to cart.
Choose location, OS template, CPU, RAM, and NVMe storage. The cart receives the exact configuration you priced.
Walkthrough steps
- Pick a data center location.
- Select an OS template.
- Set CPU cores, RAM, and NVMe storage.
- Review the live price, then send the same spec straight to cart.
Add NVMe block storage to a running VPS.
Create a portable block volume, attach it to the VPS, and mount it without rebooting or resizing the root disk.
Walkthrough steps
- Create an account-level NVMe block volume.
- Attach the volume to a running VPS.
- Format and mount the volume without a reboot.
Move a volume between VPSs without copying data.
Detach the volume from one VPS, attach it to another, and mount it on the new host. Same data, different machine, no copy step.
Walkthrough steps
- Detach the volume from the source VPS.
- Attach the same volume to a different VPS in the account.
- Mount the volume on the new host with the existing data intact.
Top Features on Every Plan
Cluster reliability, included backup, 10 TB of monthly outbound, and full programmatic control.
Every Cloud VPS ships with these six capabilities.
Reliability, capacity, and control. Included on every plan, no add-ons required.
- 3×-replicated NVMeWrites hit three NVMe nodes. Your VPS keeps running through a single drive or host failure.
- Automatic failoverIf a host fails, affected VPSs restart on healthy hosts using 3×-replicated NVMe.
- Performance GuardWatches host load and shifts it to spare capacity before performance dips.
- Backup slotOne volume backup slot per VPS. Use it on demand or schedule daily, weekly, or monthly retention.
- 10 TB outbound10 TB monthly outbound on a 1 Gbit/s port, with unmetered inbound on every plan.
- API, Terraform, MCPRun the same operations from the dashboard, scripts, infrastructure-as-code, or an AI agent.
Launch, resize, and recover the VPS itself, without a ticket.
Linux or Windows templates, live sizing feedback, and console access for when the network goes silent.
- Flexible computeScale CPU and RAM independently with live price feedback during sizing.
- Console and power controlsStart, reboot, gracefully shut down, force-stop, or open an out-of-band console when network access is broken.
- Clone and template workflowsClone a VPS for test or migration work, or save a configured system as a reusable template.
- Linux, Windows, or custom imagesBring your own image or pick from the template catalog.
- High-frequency Intel Xeon CPUsEvery Cloud VPS runs on the same high-frequency cores. Pick how many cores you need; clock speed comes standard.
- Tags and notesLabel and annotate VPSs so a growing fleet stays legible.
No copy, no rebuild.
3×-replicated NVMe with reusable block volumes you can detach, resize, and reattach as the topology changes.
- Move volumes between VPSsDetach from one VPS and reattach to another. The data stays put. Pair with the included backup slot for point-in-time recovery.
- 3× replicatedEvery write lands on three NVMe nodes before the I/O completes. A node failure is invisible to the running VPS.
- Disk and ISO operationsAdd or delete disks, resize them, choose a boot disk, and attach ISO media for install or recovery workflows.
- NVMe block volumesAll-flash tier by default. No spinning-disk fallback.
- Clone and rename volumesSpin off a copy for testing or a parallel deployment.
- Save disk as volumePromote a disk to a reusable volume when the data should persist beyond the server.
Provision from code, scripts, or an AI agent.
REST API, Terraform, and an MCP server share the same control plane as the dashboard.
- MCP for AI agentsProvision Cloud VPS from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP-aware tool, using the same control-plane paths as the dashboard.
- REST API and TerraformManage VPSs, networks, and policies from scripts or infrastructure-as-code.
- Usage and activity tracesReview usage trends, account-scope events, VPS-specific activity, and live progress for long-running operations.
- API tokensGenerate and revoke scoped tokens for automation and tooling.
- Usage graphsWatch resource trends over time without bolting on a separate monitoring tool.
One backup slot per VPS, on demand or on schedule.
Restore in place, or save a backup as a new volume when you need to inspect data without overwriting the current disk.
- Included backup slotOne volume backup per VPS is included. Add more slots when a workload needs deeper history.
- Scheduled or manual captureToggle automatic backups, update the schedule, or create a one-off backup before a risky change.
- Save backup as volumeExport a restore point as a reusable volume when you need migration, forensic review, or side-by-side recovery.
- Point-in-time revertRoll a volume back to an earlier capture without rebuilding the VPS.
- Optional hourly DRaaSAdd hourly backups and longer retention when an application needs deeper coverage.
Move public IPs without waiting on DNS.
Private networks for app-to-database traffic, floating IPs for cutovers, reverse DNS for service identity.
- Private networksCreate private networks, manage address ranges, update resolvers, and keep internal service traffic segmented.
- Interfaces and IP aliasesAttach or detach NICs, add aliases, and move eligible IP aliases between VPSs as the topology changes.
- Floating IPsReassign a public IP to a standby VPS at the network layer. Traffic follows in seconds. No DNS TTL wait, no client-side change.
- 10 TB outbound, unmetered inboundPlenty of headroom on a 1 Gbit/s port without overage anxiety.
- Reverse DNSUpdate PTR records so public IP identity matches the service customers see.
Define access and firewall policy once. Reuse across the fleet.
SSH keys, security groups, and roles built for environments, not single hosts.
- Fleet-wide security groupsDefine a rule set once, then attach it to many servers. No per-host duplication.
- SSH key managementRegister, import, delete, and install account SSH keys onto specific VPSs from the control panel.
- Role-based accessAdd your team and scope permissions to exactly what each role needs.
- Clone security groupsBranch an existing rule set as a starting point for new environments.

Disaster Recovery
One failed deploy or hardware event away from data loss?
Automated offsite backups, ransomware protection, and DNS failover for disaster recovery.
Common Questions About Cloud VPS
Are there contracts or commitments?
No contract is required. You can cancel anytime.
How can I try Cloud VPS without long-term risk?
Cloud VPS does not have a traditional free trial. Billing is hourly, you can cancel anytime, and a 7-day money-back guarantee covers your first paid invoice if the service does not fit. The standard $1 activation fee is credited to your balance immediately and refundable on request.
How does the $200 credit work?
New customers receive $200 in account credit, valid for 60 days after signup.
How fast is deployment?
Most VPSs provision in about 60 seconds after checkout completes.
Can I change resources later?
Yes. Resize CPU, RAM, or storage at any time. CPU and RAM changes require a reboot.
How is Cloud VPS billed?
We bill VPS resources by the hour. The configurator shows the monthly cap for the selected resources; once that VPS has run 28 days in a month, resource charges stop. Billing Alerts can notify you when monthly usage goes over the amount you set.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, Crypto, LINK, and ACH. Invoicing is available for qualified accounts.
Why is there a $1 setup/activation fee?
It's payment verification. We credit the $1 to your balance immediately and refund it on request, even after 30 days.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes. Contact our sales team for custom pricing on larger deployments or committed usage.
Do I get admin access?
Yes. You get full admin access.
Is this a managed service? What is included?
We manage the infrastructure: hardware, storage, networking, hypervisor updates. You manage the OS and application stack inside your VPS. For scope details, see our Statement of Support.
Is there an SLA?
We offer a 99.9% uptime SLA on our infrastructure. Terms of Service has the full details.
Can I use Remote Desktop?
Windows and Linux desktop environments ship as ready-to-deploy VPS templates. Connect with your existing RDP client (Windows) or VNC client (Linux desktop).
Are any ports blocked?
We block outbound SMTP by default to protect IP reputation. We enable SMTP access on request.
Can I use custom images or ISO installs?
Upload custom images or mount ISOs for specialized installs and recovery scenarios.
What is included with Windows licensing?
Windows Server Datacenter licensing is available as an add-on. License cost is included in the hourly rate when you choose a Windows template.
What is Performance Guard?
Performance Guard is our auto-balancing system for shared plans. It monitors cluster load and rebalances resources across the cluster to reduce noisy-neighbor impact and keep performance consistent.
Is this shared CPU?
Shared CPU plans use active balancing to keep performance consistent.
What happens when hardware fails?
Your VPS runs on distributed NVMe storage, replicated 3x. If the host goes down, the VPS restarts on a healthy node using the same storage. You don't move disks because they were never local.
What happens when a neighbor gets noisy?
Performance Guard monitors CPU, RAM, disk I/O, and network across the cluster. When contention crosses a threshold, it rebalances the cluster by shifting load to hosts with more headroom. The process runs transparently while your VPS stays up.
What is the catch with hourly billing?
No catch. VPS resources bill per hour up to a fixed monthly cap. If your VPS runs all month, resource charges stop after 28 days of runtime; selected licenses, backups, and add-ons appear as separate line items. Billing Alerts can notify you when monthly usage goes over the amount you set.
Can I automate Cloud VPS with the API, Terraform, or MCP?
Yes. Cloud VPS exposes the same control plane through a REST API, an OpenNebula Terraform provider, and the open-source Togglebox MCP server. All three authenticate with scoped Personal Access Tokens and land in the same audit log as the dashboard. See the API automation section for the live MCP demo.
Can I manage Cloud VPS from Claude, Cursor, or another AI assistant?
Yes. The open-source Togglebox MCP server exposes the full Cloud VPS account control plane (VPSs, disks, backups, S3-compatible buckets, networks, security groups, SSH keys, templates, billing, and support) as Model Context Protocol tools. It works with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, Codex CLI, and Gemini CLI. Calls authenticate with a scoped Personal Access Token and land in the same audit log as the dashboard and direct API. See the live demo.
How are API and MCP actions audited?
Every create, resize, delete, and reconfigure call is logged with the action, timestamp, and the scoped token that ran it. Dashboard, API, Terraform, and MCP calls all share one audit stream, so you can filter by token or time range during incident review.
Is a backup included with every Cloud VPS?
Yes. Every Cloud VPS includes one backup slot at no extra cost. You can schedule it (daily, weekly, or monthly) or use it as an on-demand manual backup. Additional backup slots are available as an add-on.
Does backup restore overwrite the target volume?
Yes. Restoring in place returns the target volume to its captured state and overwrites whatever is on the disk now. If the current state must survive, export the backup to a new volume instead. Other attached volumes and the VPS itself are unaffected by either action.
How do volume backups differ from Disaster Recovery?
Volume backups capture one disk at a specific moment and let you revert that disk independently. Disaster Recovery (DRaaS) adds continuous replication, hourly and daily recovery points, and failover operations for whole-workload resilience. Use volume backups for point-in-time rollback and DRaaS for whole-VPS disaster recovery.
Can I save a backup as a reusable volume?
Yes. Backup rows include a save-as-volume action that creates a new account-level volume from the backup data. The new volume is billed at standard Volume Storage rates and the original backup keeps its slot. See the Recovery Ledger for the full set of disk recovery actions.
How do security groups work?
Security groups are reusable rule sets attached per network interface, not per VPS. Update the group once and every attached interface reflects the change. Public and private NICs on the same VPS can carry different groups, and every revision is recorded in the audit log.
What is included by default for private networking, floating IPs, and PTR records?
Every Cloud VPS includes private VLANs with custom CIDR ranges, floating IPs you can move between VPSs at the network layer for cutovers, and reverse-DNS (PTR) records you can set per public IP. Multi-NIC VPSs and per-interface security groups are also included.
When should I use Managed Firewall or Disaster Recovery instead?
Use the included security groups and private VLANs for per-VPS and fleet access control. Add Managed Firewall when you need a dedicated firewall appliance with managed policy review and incident response. Add DRaaS when whole-VPS continuous replication and failover matter, not just point-in-time disk rollback.
