Philadelphia Cluster CPU Flag Updates

August 26, 2020 Matt

Newly Available CPU Flags for Togglebox Cloud Servers

Following up on our previous post, Enhanced CPU flags are now available in Philadelphia.

Notable new flags are AES for encryption tasks and AVX512 for data crunching.  There are also hardware mitigation flags for various Intel CPU security vulnerabilities. In our tests on a standard NGINX web server we saw a 30% request rate increase!

If your server has not yet been rebooted from the control panel please reach out to Support so you can take advantage of the updates.
